Final Exam Preview Activity Questions

1.          I learned a lot about iMovie from what I read and watched from the blog. I learned how to shorten clips, insert clips, and how to format them to fit the space. These skills will be very useful when I go to make my iMovie video for my final exam project.               I also read about how to insert pictures and add music to go on top of them. Another useful skill I learned was how to insert music and voice overs which I think I will use for my project. I looked up more pages of how to use iMovie which helped me find out how to do a time-lapse on iMovie which might be useful to me for mu project. 2. Something I already knew about iMovie was how to insert videos into the program. 3. Something I learned about iMovie was how to format, arrange, and change the videos that are inserted into the program. 4. Something I'm concerned about with the final exam project is that I won't be able to find time to actually sho...

Earthquake Story

At 12 a.m. on Monday morning, an earthquake struck the San Fransisco Bay area.             Because of the Earthquake, an auto part store collapsed killing two and injuring six.             "I was eating breakfast when the room started to roll. I dove under the table just as I heard an explosion outside and a chunk of cement flew through my kitchen window. Thats when the screaming started across the street," Hayward resident Mike Beamer said. It was later found out that the explosion Mike heard was from the Auto Part Store across the street from his apartment. "Hayward Firefighters used ropes to stabilize the auto supply shop, conducting a search of the building and capped a gas line after detecting a gas leak at the site," a public information officer from the Haywood Fire Department Jennifer Vu said. This was the most probable cause for why the earthquake had caused so muc...

Huntington Story

Janice Jones, a 53 year old woman, lives in Barstow, California. Jones was eating dinner when her dog, Tombo, pulled her 9mm hand gun to the floor setting it off.                  The bullet went straight through Jones' right leg at 10 p.m. on Wednesday.               "Jones was transported to Huntington Beach Hospital via ambulance and later was transported to Irvine Medical Center," California Highway Patrol Press liaison Tammy Rye said. Rye explained how Jones was treated after her injury. "It could have been worse," Rye said. He was thankful that there wasn't much cause for panic and no lives were taken from the incident.  "Jones didn't have a permit for the gun," Rye said. Rye and other authority figures discussed if they should charge Jones for the accident or not. "The bullet hit two inches from a gas tank," Rye said. Rye explained the s...

Amy Bejarano has been elected Student of the Month at Bowie High school for the month of January. Nut Graf

A Nut Graf is a slang term used by Journalists. It is basically a paragraph in a story. The nut Graf usually states why the story is important and most of the major details. I sort of acts like a hook in an exposit essay because it is explaining to the reader why they should keep reading.           Nut Grafs usually follow the inverted triangle. That means that the most important things should be said first, followed by the second most important thing, and lastly the least important details should be said last.
