A: A major difference between a hard news story and an opinion piece is that an opinion piece is written in first person and a hard news story is written as facts only. Another difference is that in a hard news story, there are always quotes from people directly involved with the news, but in opinion pieces, there are no quotes. Lastly, hard news stories never have opinions in them unless there is a quote where someone gives their opinion, but the written never states an opinion. Obviously, in an opinion piece, the writers opinion is stated.

B: There might not be many photos on these pages because a lot of the stories are about lots of different little topics instead of one main topic and it would be hard to add in that many photos.

C: A good topic to write an opinion piece on is Donald Trump because people tend to have strong feelings about him. Another topic could be something about Bowie like what someone thinks of something like dress code. Lastly, a good topic to write about could be about the best places to go in Austin for food, entertainment, and other things.
