Self-Portrait VS. Selfie

Image
1. A selfie is a picture that someone takes by themselves of themselves that is not meant to last. 2. A self-portrait is a painting, picture, or drawing of someone made by the subject of the art that is meant to last. 3. There are slight differences. One is that a self-portrait is considered art while a selfie is considered just a picture that can be deleted if need be. Also, some would argue that selfies aren't meant to last because they can be deleted easily and self-portraits are meant to last since they are pieces of artwork. 4. I prefer selfies over self portraits because self-portraits tend to be more serious and selfies tend to be more light hearted. 5. I don't think one is more important or valuable than the other. Self-portraits came before selfies but that doesn't mean that one is better than the other, but it also means that both are important to society and neither should be lost. Yearbook Introduction

25 things every yearbook should have: -Title -Year -School name -School location -class pictures -section for sports -section for academics -section for student life -ads -section for clubs -faculty and staff pictures -graduating class pictures -school events -articles -titles for articles -photos for articles -quotes -grade levels -captions for photos -a theme -names of students -names of teachers -names of events -honor roll -quotes for graduating class Yearbook I Read: 1. The title of the yearbook I read is expansion. 2. It is from Saint Andrew's Episcopal School. 3. The letter 'x' is evident from the beginning of the book to the end. They continue to use words with an 'x' in them like expansions, exceptional, excursion, exceptions, etc. 4. I think there are seven different "sections" in this year book. The experiences in the classrooms, the academic aspect, the sports section, about the physical school, growing wit...

Phobia Project

1. A phobia is an anxiety disorder defined by a persistent fear of and object or a situation. 2. aquaphobia- The fear of drowning or irrational fear of water coulrophobia- The fear of clowns iophobia- The fear of poison hypsiphobia- The fear of heights hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia- The fear of long words 3. A possible idea of a picture I could take for the phobia project could be for the fear of the dark. I could shoot a dimly lit street at night by street lights. That could give a scary feeling. My neighborhood has street lights so at night i could got outside and take a picture looking down the street and the picture will be lit up close but the further you look in the distance, the darker it gets. Another idea is to focus of the fear of birds. Around dusk, all the grackles in the area go to certain shopping centers of grocery stores and line up on the tops of the buildings or on the power lines. Taking a picture of the birds at dusk could be creepy ...

2018!

Image
Favorite Photos I like this photo because it has leading lines and simplicity. It also shows how parts of the world were/are struggling and that is something that the rest of the world should know about so we can try to make a change. I like this photo because it shows a protest against Trump which there have been many of those throughout 2017 so it is an accurate representation of the year. This photo also shows a protest but during this one, people were injured. There has also been more than one violent protest in 2017 so this is also an accurate representation of the violence than has occurred. Best of 2017 I think Young Dumb & Broke by Khalid was one of the best songs of 2017 because it is pretty catchy and a good song. I chose this song because it described what was happening in 2017 pretty well. I think Wonder Woman was one of the best movies of 2017. This is because it was interesting to watch and had a good message which is that women...
