1. On the internet, you could go to a website that tells about the place you are planning to shoot so that you can get all the important information like the the lighting, weather, and temperature so that you can know the best time to shoot. 2. Google Maps is a good app to have downloaded because it shows you what places look like from a street view as well as a bird eye view so that you know what a place really looks like. 3. One of the biggest problems when shooting with a wide lens is that there could not be a defined focal point when in a busy area like a forest. 4. The website suggests using an ND Grad Filter instead of using an HDR Image. 5. A strong, waterproof, plastic bag, cleaning cloths for the lens, and suitable clothing are all key items to have with you if you might encounter bad weather while trying to shoot. 6. 1. In the photo on the blog, i can tell that shadows might be an issue when I go to shoot my own Merger photos. Also, I can see that on one of the girl's hands, you can see the wooden fence through it and that may have been causes by moving while the picture was being taken so I will try to be careful of that. 2. Here at bowie, I think a good background would be a brick wall or fence because if it was done in the courtyard, lots of things could move in the picture that could mess it up. 3. Something to do in the photos could be spelling out words with my arms like the blog suggests or doing different fun poses so I'm not just standing there. 4. I could just wear a bright color that would stand out so that if there are lots of things in the background, the main subject, which is me, would stand out more.

1. In order to make an HDR Image, I will have to change the shutter speed and F-stop to change the exposure levels. 2. To take this kind of image, I will need a camera and a tripod so the camera doesn't move. 3. Someone might want to use HDR Photography because it makes for an interesting photo. 4. You would expect an HDR photo to be brighter and have more colors than just a single photo.

PART 1 1. a. The photographer is Alyssa Schukar b. The general focus was eating disorders c. Some problems the judge had with the pictures were that they were taken too far back, there were not enough strong singles, and the lack of emotion d. The judges liked the background of one of the pictures with a man sweeping streets in the Caribbean and they liked a picture of a girl falling over a hurdle with her opponents legs passing her e. 1. I'm not really sure when I'm going to shoot this assignment but it will most likely be within the next few weeks. 2. I'm planning to shoot near my house where there are woods and a type of greenbelt area. 3. I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to tell my "story" about but I think I'm going to be doing a type of thing where I go through the woods but I'm not sure what the story is going to be. 4. I will need a camera and maybe a tripod to get this project done. 5. I plan on having the narration at the beginning and end. Then I'm thinking of doing a time-lapse video in the middle mixed in with some pictures here and there.

On February 14th, 2018, Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida was involved in a school shooting. Nikolas Cruz, a former student of the school, brought a semi-automatic AR-15 assault rifle into the high school and shot at the students and staff, killing 17 and seriously injuring 14 others. This is just one of hundreds of public shootings that have happened in America over the last 5 years. I think that none of this would have happened if American citizens weren’t allowed to have semi-automatic weapons at their disposal. The current gun laws in America state that, in order to legally buy a handgun, you must be 21 years old, but to buy a “long gun” which includes rifles, the age minimum is only 18. Since the Florida shooter was 19, he legally bought the weapon used to kill innocent students and staff. I think that the first step to creating a safer environment, not only at schools but in the entire country, would be to raise the age minimum to at least 21. ...

1. Good advise was when I read that when you write an opinion piece, you have to make sure it is something you are really passionate about and care about. 2. I will keep in mind while writing my opinion piece that details draw the readers in and generalizations keep readers out. 3. The blog told me to write in first person, use a hook, and make connections to the world and the reader.
