Tips:
1. Get close to the subject and focus in on just one body part.
2. Fill the frame by getting close to the subject.
3. Change the perspective.
Environmental Portraits:
 |
| I like these portraits because they both show leading lines and you can easily tell what each of the subject's passions are. |
 |
| I chose these pictures because they caught my eye because of the leading lines. |
Self Portraits:
 |
| I like these self portraits because they are both zoomed in close to their face and they are interesting to look at because the backgrounds are very simple. |
 |
I chose these self portraits because they're giving me ideas of what I could do for my self portrait project.

Casual Portraits:
 |
| I like these casual portraits because the babies are so cute and they both use rules os photography like simplicity and lines in the top picture. |
 |
I chose these casual portraits because they get close to the subject's faces and are casual pictures, not formal.
My Project:
For my project, I plan to take my self portrait with my dog. My dog is very important to me so I think it's fitting to have him in my self portrait with me. I will probably take the self portrait with my dog outside in the grass, maybe laying down so that the grass is the background and creates an element of simplicity. For my second picture, my portrait, I'm thinking of have my dad as the subject. Inside the house would probably give the lighting that I'm thinking of which is slightly dim so that you can only see part of his face. I might also try getting it at different perspectives like from above him instead of straight on. My other idea for the portrait is my friend who is a dancer. She could be doing a cool dance move in front of a solid color, probably white or black. That would create simplicity. I also think it would be cool to photograph a dancer because I've never done that before.
