Academic Shoot
In this picture I used the rule of thirds because the main subject, Ms. Hall, is on the left side of the picture instead of right in the middle. I think the subject of this picture is obvious because she is the closest one to the camera and the most in focus.
In this picture, I used simplicity because the main subject, the boy in the blue shirt, is in front of a fairly simple background. I think it's obvious who the subject of this picture is because he is closest to the camera and the most in focus.
This picture is unbalanced because there are three people on the right side and one person on the left, which makes the boy on the left side the main subject. It might not be very clear who the subject in this picture is because there are many people. I could have zoomed in more on the subject and cropped out the other people to make it more clear who the subject is.
In this picture I avoided mergers because there is roughly the same amount of space on the right and left side of the photo. The subject of this picture is the boy in the blue shirt because he is the only one who is looking straight at the camera. It might not be very clear to viewers who the main subject is because there are three different people in this picture. I could have zoomed in on the subject and cropped out the other people to make is clear who the subject is.

I would say that for your four images - you were super close to having a couple of great photos. They were all a little grainy and just slightly out of focus. I am not sure that you had your camera set on the right settings. The top image is your best, but because of the focus and grain, just misses the mark. It could have been great. The bottom is also good. Too bad I have seen that same one two other times and their's were in focus and just a better image. The third one is lacking a focal point, I don't know which student to look at. Overall the second image was your best. Not bad, next time be more careful and get your settings correct.
